This private sanctuary is a solo creative residency — a place for deep listening, renewal, writing, and visioning. You will have the entire home and property, located in the powerful healing community of Mt Shasta, for the duration of your stay.

Mount Shasta has long been a destination for spiritual seekers from around the world—a place where people come for clarity, healing, and a sense of connection to something larger than themselves. Its presence is unmistakably alive, a quiet force that opens the inner senses and deepens awareness.

THE EILERWOOD COTTAGE
This little sanctuary, that is walking distance to the town’s local organic grocery, rests on the original Eilerwood homestead—the first dwelling on this quiet forest road. Over the years, small traces of the early caretakers have revealed themselves: an old handmade sign, a weathered bell, thoughtful woodwork tucked into unexpected corners.
 
The towering oaks, cedars, and firs—some 300 to 400 years old—create a natural sanctuary of their own. The sloping land leads down toward Cold Creek, the source of Mt. Shasta’s water and a place often visited by pilgrims who come to honor the mountain’s sacred waters.
 
This is a land shaped by quiet magic, deep roots, and a long history of renewal. Eilerwood is a place where people feel held—where the ancient intelligence of the forest offers its clarity, spaciousness, and refuge. It carries the imprint of those who came before, and it offers that same rooted belonging to everyone who comes here to rest, listen, and restore their creative fire.

This is a quiet, regenerative space for writers, artists, thinkers, and anyone longing for deep creative renewal.
To support this deep rest and renewal, this is a fully private solo retreat. I don’t live on the property and won’t be onsite during your stay. Check-in is simple and self-guided, and the home is prepared with everything you need (full kitchen, linens, etc.)
